What Is the Process of Dental Veneers?

Hi, Dr Fong here from Sunbury Dentist, which is part of the Dental House Group.

Do you have a smile you’re not quite happy with? Maybe your teeth are chipped, uneven, or just not as bright as you’d like. Well, veneers might be the perfect solution for you. So, let me show you how they can help.

  1. First, we’ll start with a consultation.
This is where we get to know you and your smile goals. We’ll chat about what you’d like to achieve, whether that’s improving the shape, colour, or alignment of your teeth. Of course, we’ll also check if veneers are indeed the right option for you.
  2. Next up, we’ll plan your smile.
We’ll take digital scans and photos of your teeth and use our Digital Smile Design to map out your new smile. We can even show you a mock-up of what the veneers could look like, so you can get a sneak peek before we begin!
  3. Then, it’s time to prepare your teeth.
Veneers are thin, but to make sure they fit perfectly and look natural, we gently reshape the front of your teeth. Don’t worry, it’s a very minimal adjustment. And, we’ll also take precise impressions to create your custom veneers.
  4. While your final veneers are being made, you’ll wear temporary ones.
These not only protect your teeth but also give you a feel for how your new smile will look!
  5. Finally, once everything’s ready, we’ll place your custom veneers.
We’ll carefully bond them to your teeth, making sure they look and feel just right. By then, you will have a smile that’s natural-looking, long-lasting, and most importantly, uniquely you.

So, if you’ve been considering veneers and want to know if they’re right for you, just give us a call or complete the form on our website, and we’ll help you organise your consultation. We’d love to help you take the next step towards your new smile!
