Risks & Recovery
Possible risks include:
- Temporary redness, swelling or bruising at the injection site
- Minor discomfort or tenderness in the treated area
- Asymmetry or uneven results, which may require follow-up treatment
- Allergic reactions or infection, though uncommon
- Rare but serious complications, such as vascular injury, nerve damage or skin necrosis
Possible risks include:
- Most patients return to normal daily activities immediately
- Mild swelling or bruising usually subsides within a few days
- Strenuous exercise, alcohol and heat exposure are often avoided for the first 24 hours
- Results are not permanent and maintenance treatments are usually required
