What Is the Process of All-on-4?

If you are currently wearing dentures, or have many missing teeth, and are thinking about restoring your smile, you may have heard of All-on-4. But what exactly is it, and how does the process work?

Well, let’s us go through it together.

All-on-4 is a treatment that replaces a full set of teeth using just four implants to support a fixed bridge. It’s a popular choice for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth and want a long-term, secure solution without relying on removable dentures.

So, how does it work?

1. The first step is your consultation and planning.

   We start by thoroughly assessing your oral health, bone structure, and your smile goals. Using our digital CT Scan and Digital Smile Design software, we design your new smile and carefully map out where the implants will be placed.

2. The next step is placing the implants.

   During the procedure, we place four implants into the jawbone. These act as anchors for the new set of teeth. We will also provide a temporary set of teeth on the same day, so you won’t leave without a smile.
   We’ll make sure you’re comfortable throughout the whole process. And if you’d like, we can offer general anaesthesia so you can be asleep for the entire procedure and wake up with your brand-new smile already in place!

3. Within a week is the final bridge placement.

   Once your bridge is made, we replace your temporary teeth with a custom-made, natural-looking fixed bridge. This gives you a smile that looks great, feels strong, and it allows you to show off that gorgeous new smile with confidence.

4. After this is the healing process, also known as osseointegration.

   Over the next four months, the implants bond with your bone, creating a strong, stable foundation. But don’t worry, we won’t just leave you hanging. We’ll still check up on you regularly, giving you advice and care instructions to make sure everything is healing well.
