Dr Richard Newton

Dr Richard Newton brings a unique blend of dental and emergency care experience to his patients. Before becoming a dentist, he worked as an Ambulance Paramedic, giving him a solid understanding of both dental and medical emergencies. Since completing his dental degree at La Trobe University, he has focused on providing gentle, comprehensive care to patients of all ages.

Known for his calm and reassuring presence, Dr Richard helps even the most nervous patients feel at ease. He has a particular interest in dental surgery, especially wisdom teeth removal, and is skilled in techniques to make treatments as comfortable as possible, including the use of happy gas when needed. His dedication to children’s dentistry has also been recognised with the ANZ Society of Paediatrics Award for excellence.

Outside the clinic, Dr Richard enjoys an active lifestyle with his two young children and beloved dog Indie. Whether bike riding, playing tennis, watching movies, or cooking up a storm, he makes the most of family time. He is also a regular at the gym, balancing his love for food with a commitment to health.
